Xiaoyangwo Solar Power Project
On September 15, the Xiaoyangwo solar power project, the first solar power project of a green energy demonstration base over the lower reaches of the Jinsha River, was connected to the power grid. It boasts a total capacity of 50 MW.
This solar power project integrates solar energy with agriculture. Photovoltaic panels are designed with a minimum height of 2.5 meters, allowing the grazing animals to be protected under shelter and move freely between and beneath the modules. The project enables the dual use of spaces, offering a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution.
When completed, the project’s annual power production will be 86.2 GWh, lowering CO2 emissions by 71,400 tonnes.
